Our hearts go out to our Haitian partners, colleagues and the community of Jerusalem in the wake Haitian President Jovenel Moïse’s assassination. Fortunately, Dr. Fiquita St. Paul and her team are safe and remain committed to Jerusalem now more than ever.

The gas shortages and spike in violence over the last year have made it difficult to reach the clinic; however, the Community Health Workers have been able to facilitate care and communicate lab results through telemedicine. As the situation unfolds, Community Empowerment remains committed to Jerusalem. We remain in constant contact with the team and are hopeful for a peaceful resolution.
